Carnivore Day

Today we learned about carnivore conservation in Botswana one of the Denver Zoo's focal areas. We learned many interesting ways the people in Botswana use to portect themselves and their livestock so that the don't have to kill animals like lions and painted dogs. We also got to see up close how the zoo trains their hyenas at the predator ridge demo.

Denver Zoo Camera Traps

As a part of the theme of the Wild About Conservation summer camp, we thought it would be fun to install camera traps in zoo exhibits to capture some cool images of our zoo animals. Throughout the week, campers will be checking in on the footage the cameras captured. We can't wait to see what our furry and feathered family members are up to when we aren't watching! Enjoy!
